CBPS Research Fellowship 2025–26

Launched in 2023 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS), the CBPS Research Fellowship is a one-year, full-time opportunity for young scholars to engage in high-quality research in areas such as education, gender, governance, health & nutrition, public finance, livelihoods, and social security. Fellows will collaborate closely with CBPS researchers, receive mentorship, attend seminars and public events, and contribute to ongoing projects in their area of interest. The fellowship provides a stipend and access to research facilities, but does not cover housing or transport.

Duration: 12 months (From August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to scholars who have recently completed their undergraduate degree or are in the final year of their bachelor's program
• Candidates from historically underrepresented communities (based on caste, class, gender, religion, language, first-generation learners, etc) are encouraged to apply
• Applicants from any discipline and methodological background are welcome

Stipend: ₹25,000 per month (no housing, transport, or additional allowances provided)
