The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam for the recruitment of 2900 Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) Schools. This recruitment aims to strengthen elementary education in Assam in compliance with the Right to Education Act, 2009.
Job Position: Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary Schools)
No. of Vacancies: 2900
Qualification: Passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) / Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Lower Primary level. Either Language-I or Language-II of ATET/CTET should match the medium of instruction of the school.
Salary: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) ₹14,000 - ₹70,000 plus Grade Pay and other allowances as per Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
Age Limit: as on 01-01-2025 - 18 to 40 years. Age Relaxation as per govt. norms.
